Registration for the 2010 tournament is closed. As of January 14, 2010 this tournament has 75 teams that have registered for this event.

Coaches are encouraged to go over the competition rules with teams one more time. Rules from 2009-2010 have only changed slightly. A copy of the protest procedures, protest resolution form and the coaches evaluation should be printed for each team and brought to the tournament. It is suggested that one adult be designated as the "coach" for each team to take notes during the oral rounds. This position can also be handled by the team's alternate if they have one.

The Central Region Optimist Brain Bowl Tournament serves the Denver metro area school districts and to the east. (Jeffco Schools are considered part of the North Region.) . Although there are three different Brain Bowl tournaments held in the Colorado-Wyoming area, schools are assigned to a specific region in order to create the most fair and consistent competitions. Private schools and home-school teams are assigned to the same regional tournament as public school district in which the team resides. Teams/schools may NOT select the tournament in which they wish to participate. NO exceptions! There is currently no run off or Championship Tournament in place for Optimist Brain Bowls but with the addition of the South Region Tournament, we are closer than ever to that goal!
